DISCOVER CROATIAN WINE THIS FATHER'S DAY

North Coast Trio

$149

Taste the mineral-rich soil of Istria, what many call the new Tuscany, with this trio of natural wines from Piquentum. Medium-bodied Teran and Refosk reds, and a beautiful skin contact Malvazija white ideal for pairing with spicy food.

MORE ABOUT THE WINES

Piquentum Refošk 2015
Refosk macerated for 2-4 weeks, spontaneously fermented and aged in oak for 18 months. Bottled without filtration. More brooding and textural than its Teran cousin. Perfect with Istrian prosciutto.

Piquentum Malvazija 2016
Istrian Malvasia, macerated for 2- 3 days, spontaneously fermented, 70% aged in wood (barriques), the rest in stainless steel. An ideal food wine that is earthy enough to pair with hard cheeses, bright enough to highlight fresh green herbs, and a medium body that stands up to fish.

Piquentum Teran 2015
Motovun Teran macerated for 2-4 weeks, spontaneously fermented and aged in oak for 18 months. Bottled without filtration. A great pairing with charcuterie, cured fish, fish stews, and blood sausage.

South Coast Trio

$219

The landscapes get wilder, the slopes steeper, and the yields lower as we move into the southern stretches of Dalmatia. But the wine, oh the wine. Big, bold, manly Zinfandel and Plavac Mali reds, and a Pošip white by a legend of Croatian winemaking.

MORE ABOUT THE WINES

Zlatan Otok Organic Zinfandel 2015
The original and authentic Zinfandel grape, saved from extinction by Zlatan Plenković. Great structure and personality, full bodied yet youthful & inviting.

Križ Plavac Mali 2016
When you let nature work it’s magic you get this biodynamic beauty. Made with minimal intervention to be both rich and approachable yet not jammy.

Grgić Pošip 2016
Small, steep area of vineyards on Korčula island perched above the sea. Fresh and fragrant, offers a trip to the Adriatic in a glass with citrus, almonds, ripe melon and savory herbs.
