Juraj Sladić, a rising star of Croatia's wine scene, couldn't resist the draw of our globally best-known variety. Many wine lovers are familiar with the remarkable quest to find Zinfandel's heritage which tracked it down to a few dozen remaining vines along the Adriatic. Juraj now has 2ha of organically grown Tribidrag (aka Zinfandel) that he's turned into a remarkably elegant Zin critics are raving about. Traditional nose of Maraschino cherry, raisins, chocolate and lots of sweet oak spices. Chewy on the palate, powerful and rich with a very fresh acidity. Only 800 bottles made.
