Ivo Matošin is a man who has seen the world. Yet the retired ship captain came back to the hill his grandfather bought after he himself returned from America. There he planted and now farms 2ha of some of the most stunning vineyards in Primošten, the home of Babić. 250m of elevation means he doesn't have to spray his vineyard, and his philosophy in the cellar is the same: zero nonsense.
The result is a supremely drinkable Babić with tamed tannins and a bright cherry-pomegranate acidity.
