Teran is a controversial grape, with EU politicians wrangling over who gets to use the name. What is not controversial is that Dimitri Brečević, the half-French half-Croatian natural winemaker, makes an excellent one. The fruit for his Teran is organically grown around the hilltop hamlet of Vrh, where the air circulation helps it retain its acidity and freshness. Bottled unfiltered after spending 18 months in oak, the result is medium-bodied, with leather, balsamic and dark fruits.
PAIRS WELL WITH
Built for charcuterie, also great with samgyupsal and culinary awards show after parties.
